Guests of The Don Gaspar Inn will not want to miss the opportunity to visit Launch Projects to view the latest work of Ward Shelley. The exhibit features a series of diagramatic paintings, timelines of art-related subjects and scenes, and retrospectives of artists working in de-materialized media. Included in the series are the Williamsburg Timeline Drawing and Downtown Body, recently published in Bomb Magazine. Shelley, who resides in New York, has achieved international recognition and has exhibited in more than 10 countries. His work is shown in a number of museum collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Art Museum, and The Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. Last year Shelley received a painting and Sculpture award from the Joan Mitchell foundation. Shelley’s current series, Stories from A - Z (Andy to Zappa), is showing through July 4th at Launch Projects, 355 East Palace Avenue.
