The Don Gaspar Inn is preparing for a busy festival and art show season, beginning with the Native Treasures Indian Arts Festival on May 22-23. This museum quality exhibit offers classic to contemporary artistry from over 180 emerging to established artists. The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture hand selects Native American artists to represent the best and brightest of the Indian art world. Participating artists represent a wide range of tribes and pueblos. This year, the festival will feature an Emerging/Student section to showcase up-and-coming talent who will influence the future of Native American arts. A pre-sale and benefit cocktail party will be held on Friday May 21, where you can have first pick at the fine artwork for sale. Tickets are $75, including hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and wine and champagne, and an Early Bird ticket to the show on Saturday. Native Treasures: Indian Arts Festival benefits the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. The artists generously donate a portion of the proceeds to the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe. The festival will take place at The Santa Fe Convention Center. For more information, call (505) 476-1250.
