With opera season approaching, there is never a better time to plan a visit to The Don Gaspar Inn. Tickets are now on sale for the Santa Fe Opera four day 2010 Festival Season opening celebration. Guests who want to be a part of this grand tradition can attend special events to mark the season kick-off Thursday, July 1 through Sunday, July 4. Events include a meet and greet with some of today’s finest performers, and two unforgettable evenings of opera under the starlit skies of Santa Fe.
On Thursday, July 1, join sponsors and opera aficionados for cocktails followed by an elegant feast, song and dance. Opening night on Friday, July 2 begins with dinner served in unique Santa Fe homes followed by the opening night of Puccini’s epic Madame Butterfly. The “Insider’s Lunch” on Saturday, July 3 takes place at the Opera’s Scene Shop and is followed by a poolside cocktail party with the production's Creative Team, Production Underwriters and other Gala attendees. Dinner will then be served at the Dapples Cantina, followed by the opening performance of Mozart's incomparable The Magic Flute. A finale brunch among secret sculpture gardens at Nedra Matteucci Galleries on Sunday, July 4 provides an opportunity for you to meet the opera’s performance artists, and discuss the magic of the upcoming season.
