Huichol Art and Culture Exhibit at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture

With the vast choices of museums and galleries in Santa Fe there is always a reason to plan a stay at The Don Gaspar Inn. If you are visiting on April 11th, 2010 you will not want to miss the Opening Reception for a significant collection of Huichol art from the early part of the last century. This first of its kind exhibition will feature colorful, decorative yarn paintings of the Huichol, a Native American people of western Mexico who for many centuries have retained their unique culture and prehispanic religious beliefs. Huichol Art and Culture: Balancing the World opens at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture April 11, 2010 and will run through March 6, 2011. For more information, reference indianartsandculture.org or call 505/476-1250. The Don Gaspar Inn, Casa Blanca Inn, and Blue Lake Ranch are members of Inns of the Southwest.
