After enjoying a home cooked breakfast at The Don Gaspar Inn, guests can take a leisurely walk in the Santa Fe sunshine to Souper Bowl XVI on Saturday, January 30th. The event features soup creations from more than 25 Santa Fe restaurants competing for the coveted “Best Soup in Santa Fe” title. After a tasty spoonful, attendees cast their vote for the winner in four categories –Sweet, Savory, Seafood or Vegetarian. There will also be a bid on silent auction items and a water tasting bar by Good Water Company featuring carbon-filtered, chilled water.
The annual event raises funds for The Food Depot, which distributes food to struggling Northern New Mexicans. Souper Bowl XVI takes place between 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy Street. Advanced tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 6-12 years of age. Tickets will also be available at the door for adults ($30) and children ($10). Tickets are available in advance at The Food Depot, 1222 Siler Road, or online at www.thefooddepot.org.
