Moscow Festival Ballet at The Lensic Performing Arts Center
The Santa Fe Concert Association will present Coppelia, a two act full-length ballet performed by The Moscow Festival Ballet, one of Russia’s leading dance troupes, on Sunday, February 1 at 7:30 PM. Coppelia tells the tale of a girl who has to win back her sweetheart from his infatuation with a mechanical doll. The Moscow Festival Ballet was founded in 1989 when legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet Sergei Radchenko sought to realize his vision of a company which would bring together the highest classical elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies in an independent new company within the framework of Russian classic ballet. The Lensic is a premier entertainment venue frequented by guests of The Don Gaspar Inn, located in the historic Plaza. For tickets and information visit www.ticketssantafe.org or call (505)988-1234. The Don Gaspar Inn, Blue Lake Ranch, and The Casa Blanca Inn are members of the Inns of the Southwest.
