The Santa Fe Capitol Building and 2010 Legislative Session

Perched above Don Gaspar avenue at Paseo de Peralta is the stately New Mexico Capitol building. A short two block walk from the Don Gaspar Inn will bring you to a wide staircase boasting magnificant flower pots in proportion to the grand building. You will find a perfect balance between old and new, art and industry, as you peruse two welcoming lobbies with passageways to Senate galleries and studios. One of the finest and diverse art displays in Santa Fe; the Capitol boasts an impressive collection of brass sculpture, oil painting, photography, and wood carvings throughout winding halls leading to a central point four story atrium with glass dome. This modern environment is a complex structure with movement. The collection of artwork available in the great halls is a warm balance to the governing that is done in the numerous offices, suites, and theaters. Early next year the gallery will be filled with legislators statewide. There will a bustling of people congregating for the welfare of New Mexico. And all around there is history made and history in the making. The Don Gaspar Inn welcomes the states Legislature to enjoy her accommodations this coming 2010 session with our Roundhouse Offer. A combination of special rates combined with an array of promotional offerings from various local businesses.
